I did the hardest workout of my life this week!! P90X: Plyometrics is an amazing workout to help any athlete perform at their best. Do you know what it does for a woman who isn't in any kind of athletic shape? It makes her hurt...YOW, my legs and booty are killing me (for 2 days now)!! I teach kindergarten and if you know anything about 5 and 6 year olds you know that they can be needy. One of those needs is having their shoes tied. Their shoes look a million miles away with as much pain as it's going to take to get down to the floor and back up. But, being the dedicated teacher I am I grannied it down and grannied it back up, ONCE. After that I told them to go find a friend who could tie their shoes for them.
I love myfitnesspal.com. It's an amazing app/website that helps me keep track of my calorie intake. I have a goal for each day and I usually know by lunch time if I'm going to come in under or over my goal. This tool is really helping me think about what I'm eating and has me weighing out if things are worth putting into my body. Now don't get me wrong, I am not perfect and I still eat sweets (I just can't give them up completely), but I'm definitely not eating sweets to the severity that I was. There is hope for people who feel like losing weight is an unsurmountable feat. One day at time is my best advice. Routine, routine, routine is important as well. I found that out this weekend when I didn't get enough water in my body and struggled to get a work out in. It is so much easier to drink my water, eat healthy, and workout when I'm in my work week routine.
So, 3.5 pounds down and 11.5 more to go in 9 weeks. Let's do this!!
